This 2 Day course will offer an introduction to ultrasound theory, and equipment and the practicalities of this invaluable modality in your practice.

The first day lecture covers physics, machines, transducers and required images for the abdominal scan, along with case studies. The afternoon offers three hours of scan time on dogs and cats. The spleen and liver are each individually reviewed in scan lab.

On Day 2 the lecture covers image transfer storage, telemedicine, interventional ultrasound, and some basic pathology and cases. The late morning and early afternoon will be spent in scan lab again putting the lecture material to use and scanning bladder, kidneys adrenals, pancreas.

This course is CE accredited and is taught by Dr. Bob Hylands DVM a veteran sonographer, educator and consultant on VIN in addition to his busy veterinary practice.
