Introduction To TPLO

This is the third course in our Orthopedic Surgery series given by Dr. Audrey Remedios DVM, MVetSc, Diplomate, American College of Veterinary Surgeons. Dr. Remedios currently holds an adjunct faculty and sessional lecturer position at the University of Calgary, and is a surgery specialist at Fish Creek Pet Hospital and Emergency Centre in Calgary. She has authored numerous peer reviewed publications and textbook chapters related to small animal surgery. She has also written a number of book reviews and articles designed for public education.

This 2 Day combination lecture and wet lab will cover the TPLO procedure and MPL stabilization combined with TPLO.

Attendees will have the opportunity to work with bone models and ethically obtained cadavers to properly understand patient preparation and draping, the approach to the bone, and tools and implants needed for these orthopedic procedures.
