VetScan i-STAT® 1 - Operation

The VetScan i-STAT® 1  is a compact and portable device to measure blood gas and electrolytes. Furthermore the VetScan i-STAT® 1 measures preselected clinical chemistry and hematological parameters.

Step 1: Fill the cartridge up to the fill mark

The VetScan i-STAT® 1 requires only 95 µl of whole blood to run a measurement.

 

 

  

Step 2: Insert cartridge

The VetScan i-STAT® 1 starts the measurement automatically.

 

 

  

Step 3: Read result

The results are displayed after 90 - 120 seconds. In addition, results can be print out via infrared printer.
