The SPOTCHEM™ EL is equipped with a special pipette so that a reference solution and the sample can be pipetted to the one-way reagent plates at the same time. Measurement of the electrolytes potassium, sodium and chloride is then realized by the method of potentiometric comparison for absolutely reliable results.

Step 1: Drawing up the reference solutionThe reference solution supplied together with the reagent plates (E-plates) is drawn up into the first tip of the special pipette. |

Step 2: Drawing up the sampleIn the second step, the sample is drawn up into the second pipette tip. Only 22 µl of whole blood, serum or plasma are required for the sample. All three parameters are then measured at the same time in this material. It is also possible to measure these parameters in urine samples. |

Step 3: Application of sampleUsing the special pipette, the sample and reference solution are applied simultaneously to the plate which has been placed in the device. The device starts the analysis automatically. After only 60 seconds, the results are printed out and shown on the display. |
