scil animal care company GmbH is glad to announce the distribution of the coagulation analyser QuickVet^® in Germany, Spain, Netherlands and Portugal since February 2011.

The QuickVet^® is an innovative coagulation device for veterinary diagnostic. The measuring principle used in the QuickVet^® is based on Capillary Driven Micro Fluidic technology. It is designed to perform tests in veterinary clinics at the patient side in just a few minutes. Operating the system is simple and user friendly, only insert a test cartridge, add sample and read the result.

The QuickVet^® offers a fast and reliable determination method for in clinic coagulation testing. It is possible to measure the PT and aPTT simultaneous on the QuickVet^®  COAG™ PT/aPTT Combo™  Test cartridge by using citrate whole blood. Furthermore the QuickVet^® allows the determination of equine Fibrinogen, an acute phase protein which is widely used as an inflammation marker in horses, in the clinic or at the barn.
