Internal Fracture Fixation Class Objective Statement:

From this interactive, practical workshop, the veterinarian will review classifications and nomenclature of fractures, bone healing, fracture forces and proceed to selecting appropriate implants. Thru the laboratory portion, they will learn about power equipment, the surgical techniques involved with the use of implant plates, screws, IM pins and wires. They will perform repairs of selected fractures of the humerus, radius/ulna, and femur/tibia and close with a discussion of post operative care. |
