Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager is responsible for the day to day management of corporate accounting functions. The Accounting Manager will be located at our Gurnee, IL office.

The Accounting Manager responsibilities are as follows:

• Processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, check preparation and daily deposits.
• Prepares and reviews journal entries, account analyses, and reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
• Prepares month-end closes and year-end close on an accurate and timely basis.
• Completes and publishes monthly management reports.
• Processes payroll thru an outsource payroll company.
• Performs basic cash management.
• Prepares annual budget and monthly forecast with input from management team.
• Monthly sales & use tax reporting for multiple states.
• Special projects and analysis as needed.

This position requires the following qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting required.
• CPA preferred but not required.
• 5 or more years experience.
• Must have strong analytical skills and the ability to exercise professional judgment to resolve complex accounting challenges.
• Ability to set priorities, manage time and multi-task.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interface effectively with all levels of scil animal care company.
• Sound knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) .
• Knowledge of Navision Accounting Software preferred.
• Ability to travel nationally/internationally on occasion
